Ready to Get Started with Native Video? Here’s How

by | Jul 31, 2018 | LinkedIn Video, Personal branding, Social media engagement

Ready or not, video is here — and it’s taking over LinkedIn.

You have probably noticed more and more video in your LinkedIn news feed. This is for two reasons.

First, video delivers better results than other types of social media posts, so more people are using it. Video gets 1200% more engagement than text or images, and is currently shared 20x more on LinkedIn than other forms of content.

Second, LinkedIn is prioritizing video in the news feed. So videos are getting more exposure than other types of content.

Combine these two trends, and you can see why video is so powerful.

Video Coaching

Moving into the world of video can seem like a challenging task — but it doesn’t have to be.

You don’t need expensive equipment. You can take high-quality native videos with your phone. And you don’t need to go to a studio. You can take the videos in your office, without fancy lighting or special backdrop. But it helps to have someone who knows what they are doing give you some guidance as you get started.

At ProResource, we currently have three one-on-one video coaching options. Our goal: Help you create high-quality, engaging video for your profile or company page while also arming you with the tools to tackle video on your own in the future. All of these options are virtual, meaning our coach can easily work with any client, anywhere.

5-Session Coaching Package

This package is perfect for anyone who wants individualized advice, support, and feedback for LinkedIn video that they will create on their own. First, our video expert will help you plan out your first video, working together on the theme, script, visuals, etc. From there, you’ll have four additional 30-minute sessions, each focusing on some aspect of your video. This is a real back-and-forth collaboration where you’ll produce the video, but all with the support of a LinkedIn video expert.

Full-Service Video Production

If you’d rather have one of our team members create your video for you, we can do that, too.

Full-Service Video: Scripted Format

If you’re interested in sharing a specific message with your followers, our video expert can create that for you. First, she’ll set up a call where she’ll ask you a variety of questions about your business, what you’d like to say in your video, and what your goals are. She’ll then create a script, coach you on what to wear and how to style and light your “set,” and virtually record your video before editing and delivering the finished version straight to your inbox.

Full-Service: Interview Format

The interview format is the easiest kind of video to do. There’s no need to remember a script – you just answer questions, which are planned out ahead of time. To get started, our video expert will set up a call to hear about your goals, then brainstorm questions and answers with you. Before the recording, she’ll coach you on what to wear and how to style and light your “set.” For the video, she’ll ask you the interview questions, creating a more conversational Q&A format.

Not sure which type of video coaching is right for you? Schedule a free 15-minute call. We can talk about what you want to accomplish with native video and see if we can help.
